Mike has been awarded an Honorary Membership of the Children’s Book Council of Australia SA for an ‘outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature’.

Mike is an Ambassador for Raising Literacy Australia, (RLA) an organisation which provides free reading packs for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in South Australia and encourages families to read, play, talk and sing to their young children every day.
